Membership Director: William L. Moss, Jr. Bill is a retired Naval Officer from Mobile, Alabama who now resides in the mountains of Eastern Tennessee. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he completed his service in 1994 and now acts as our representative West of the Appalachian Mountains.
A veteran of over 35 years as a Civil War Reenactor and Living Historian in the Infantry, Artillery and Cavalry, “Bushrod” brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the organization. He has been a supporter of Historical Entertainment since its inception on the set of “Gods & Generals”, where he met CEO and founder Russ Richards. Possessing superlative oral and written communications skills, he has a keen awareness of the techniques required to ensure effective, meaningful and historically correct presentations for the general public. Highly skilled in projecting extremely accurate impressions of 19th century demeanor and military decorum and obsessed with a desire for historical accuracy in every detail, on set he may be found assisting in wardrobe, props, makeup, set dressing-wherever his talents may be of use. His duties on HE projects have included Project Manager, Historical Advisor, Technical Consultant, Battle Choreographer, Reenactor Coordinator, National Park Service Liaison, Logistics, and even Craft Services!
