As professionals dealing with historical films and event management at historic sites, as well as volunteers working in living history and preservation organizations, we have strong working relationships with the owners and managers of historical sites large and small, both privately and publicly owned. We know what kind of facilities are available at a wide range of sites and can help you find locations that fit perfectly the visual impact that your production is seeking.

We have done location scouting, negotiation and coordination for many productions, including providing locations for the A&E's "April 1865", for National Service documentaries on Antietam and Fredericksburg civilians, and for the Discovery Channel.

Locations we can provide include period-correct interiors as well as historic building exteriors and"green field" sites for staging battles and other outdoor scenes.

We have recently established a subsidiary, Historical Locations, through which owners and managers of potential film and event locations can join us and get their details into our database so that we can more rapidly match them with production companies looking for what they have to offer. Many of our member sites are not widely known about or generally available for film use, and many are not yet on the radar screen of their state film office.

As part of our service, we work with production companies and location owners to make sure that both parties needs are met, including organizing appropriate insurance coverage when needed. We also help location owners by providing briefing materials on what to expect when your property is used as a film location.
